Perez with the Ross hitting stance.

(He looks like he's 18 years old)

I must admit it was a friend that directed me towards Perez. Talked to him the day Perez came up and he raved about Perez's speed, defense and arm. Also said the bat is underrated and once he adjusts, could hit for some average

From friend:
"In 2008, Perez had one of the best years in junior college history, hitting .465 with 37 home runs and 102 RBI’s. “Scouts and the media called me ‘the mystery guy’ because they didn’t have any reports on me.” The Giants took him in the 13th round of the 2008 draft."

I don't care what anyone says, talent is talent. I felt like he was and is a guy who needs a shot and once he gets it he will prove himself on the field. Love his work ethic

And Blanco puts Volquez right back into the stretch. It's like exactly what was happening to the Giants recently, in reverse.
