Question, why did Bochy double switch in Posey for Belt which will now bring the pitchers spot up 6th and Posey won't hit till 8th?

If you bring in Posey, why not sub him in for GQ? He won't be catching much anyway. And GQ predictably makes the FPOM.

Because Posey was the only usable bench player left and if they brought him in at C, there would be no backup

Yeah, but all Boch needed to do was bring in Dunning, didn't need to switch Belt. All he did was bury Posey and bring up the pitchers spot.

Schulman was asked about why not PH Posey instead of Torres and said "with first base open, Posey gets IBB"

So.....that means there is 1 out in the inning instead of two, with Perez at the plate

I'm not saying Perez gets a hit. But based off Schulman's point, we are in a situation where we have runners on 1st and 2nd with one out. Torres may have PH for Perez then K'd, or maybe he hits into a GIDP.

This may have been talked about in previous GDT, but I really hate that this game is being played. Cross-country game after a night game. So much for get away day.

I'll admit I'm a little worried about this game, coming off a walk-off loss then being shutout on national TV, long flight home, no day off, Pads are hot. We'll see.

And to reiterate what I said earlier, dislike that there was a game tonight. And it stings a bit worse now that it was such a long game AND a loss. This is a tired team right now.

Good baseball game, don't like that it had to be played though.
