Because we continue to play "stupid ball" at the plate. How does a team get two leadoff doubles and score neither one? How does a team have zero walks in ten innings? How does a team get a leadoff double and then get three outs in the next four pitches? Noggin refuses to sacrifice, he refuses to run, run and hit, hit and run. Inability to hit with RISP (now 2-12 for the series).

Rays played it smart. Patient at the plate. Made Timmeh throw a lot of pitches, some were very close. Sac bunted when needed.

Great pitching except for Machi. Who was left? Noggin kept throwing guys in there to face one batter.

Still, I'd rather see games like this than the recent games against the Reds and earlier games against the Blue Jays.

The SP has been mostly excellent post-ASB, excepting Timmeh's hiccup after the nono and Zeets, of course.

I am 100% OK with this loss. We went up against one of the best pitchers in the game WHO NEVER WALKS ANYONE, and we took him to extras.

We are not going to win every game remaining. If we continue to play like this, we will win most of them, though.

The fact that Joe Madden lets his closer wear his hat on the field tilted to one side like a Rapper is the most ridiculous thing ive seen this season....... WTF is going on is this the Major leagues or a beer league softball game ? I have lost all respect for Madden based on that .....
