That should do it. Nice win in a place that hasn't been very kind to San Jose. I think this was easily the best overall game the team has played this season (even including the opener considering they only played 40 mins). As usual still room for improvement, but you gotta love the 3-0 record so far on the trip. Doesn't get any easier heading into Detroit next.

I'm thinking yes. Now if Marleau would just start putting some goals in, Thornton might get to 90 assists again.

Marleaus been the primary assist on at least 4 of pavelskis 6 goals and thats with the flu. Marleau starts scoring goals then Pavelskis goal totals drop, just saying

Just kind of thinking out loud that if Marleau can get 40 and Pavs can get 40 then Thornton would rack up quite a few assists. I don't think it's that far out there considering Marleau and Healtey both had 39+ a couple years back.

Marleau had a good game tonight even without the assists.

Just got done with the game on DVR.

Burns is bad at defense.

Close needs to get his money worth if he is going to take a penalty against Tootoo.

Pavelski is good at offense.

McGinn can actually play decent hockey. Sometimes. Almost.

Good win. Fuck Detroit.

Solid play all around. This road trip was just what the doctor ordered. I feel as though Couture's line needs another shooter since Havlat and Clowe like to puck posses and look to pass. Things are starting to come together.

Win!

The only player that Handzus should give his stick to while on the PK and a defensemen loses a stick is Vlasic. The NSH goal came when Burns lost his stick and Zeus gave his up to Burns. Goal. Burns isn't even left handed!

Earlier in the year Murray lost his stick and Zeus gave Murray Zeus' stick. Goal.

Zeus is a good PKer and needs his stick. I don't care if the general rule is for forwards to give their stick to dmen.

Pavs is fuckin pimp. In the Sharks' 4 wins, he has all 6 of his goals. In the 3 losses, 0 points.

That GWG was slick how he just tucked it in shortside past Rinne. And if I had to choose one Shark to shoot from the red line into an empty net, it's Pavs.

Playing the wing, if he stays at that position, instead of center should help to minimize the mid-late season dropoff he's run into previously.

I think it a lack of size and his willingness to take a beating, that adds up over a season. That being said doesnt he actually look quicker this season?

A little bit. He's changed his stride and skating posture some. He's also taking full strides now on his starts instead of the chop steps that he used to.
