Excited to see how Nick the Prick does out there. When he was drafted, I was hoping he could become the big, mean, stay-at-home franchise defenseman that we needed. I get the feeling now that he hasn't progressed the way the franchise had hoped. Can anybody shed some light on how Petrecki is now viewed throughout the organization? Will he be a top 4 defenseman in the near future? Is he a bottom pairing? Or is he AHL fodder?

Hey everyone! So stoked to see the Sharks getting off to such a great start to the year. I finally got to see the VAN game on DVR which is the only game I've caught so far. Top line (Patty) is on fire and it's great to see the PK do well after a rocky start.

Injuries slowed his developement and in a couple cases moved it two steps back. He has NHL ability and was showing it this year in the AHL before a broken hand put him out for a while. Overall he can be a steady 2nd/3rd pairing defensive dman. He'll play a simular game to Murray only he's much more mobile and a much better puck mover.

This schedule is just killer this season. Back to backs and traveling days all over the place. That leaves little practice time and that sucks for a new coaching staff.
