IMO, If trading for a 1B is deemed a necessity, then they need to target a guy like Moreland. He's nothing spectacular, but throw him behind our 2-5 and you got a chance to get some of these guys Belt and co. are LOB.
Rangers have Young, who's better, and you just saw that Bondsian shot to Right. And they considered signing Fielder, so they're not adverse to paying someone better when Youngs deal runs out.
Or Gabby Sanchez, rough start to the year, but virtually the same player.
