We have been absolutely MISERABLE this season so far in shut down innings. Our rate is a measly 57.8%. Last season it was close to 80%. SSS, I know, I know. But while the offense goes well, this is still a huge concern.

Well a productive first road trip anyway, with not a series lost.

Round 3 goes to the Dodgers 6-2 in the first rumble of the year . It would of been sweet to get that knockout with a sweep but the Giants win the first series between the two teams 2 games to 1.

Dodgers flexed some muscle tonight and the Giants tried to respond with two bombs of their own but it would not be enough. Greinke was the better pitcher tonight and earned the win. All in all though you have to be proud of the Giants on this opening week of games going 5-2 ,winning both road series. Only two quality starts and they win 5 games. They really banged on the trip and the 2 out hitting with RISP was fantastic. If you would of told me the Giants would be 5-2 after the first road trip of the year I would of taken that to the bank.

Now the boys come home to a sold out AT&T Park and the joint will be jumpin'. Time to tune up the instruments and start Rock N the house.
