Who's the backup goalie at this point? Is Greiss still hurt? Nemo needs to rest those weary flippers.

I like this early game in Columbus because then at least I get to miss all the bs because I had to work. Just got home and have absolutely missed nothing so far.

You knew this was going to be a laugher after the 1st five minutes. No one is moving their feet, passes are sloppy, zone entries and exits are pathetic. Pretty sad when Wingels is your best player on the ice and only one moving his feet and winning board battles.

Thornton, Burns, and Havlat have been benched for the third. The Marleau, Couture, Wingels line is the only one that's been good. Wingels especially.

Really Cmon? Wingles? I would have to disagree. Yeah he competes along the boards but he doesn't control the puck, he gets pushed off easily and he is always a few steps behind. I think he is the weakest link on the 2nd line. Marleau had many clear point chances and missed, and its clearly evident that Couture is playing hurt. Irwin had another horrible game and I think he is getting tired. I think Hannan gets a shot when he is healthy.

Wingels used his speed to set up Couture twice. Couture wiffed one and Bobs made a good stop on the other. Wingels won three or four board battles that led to three Marleau scoring chances. He used his speed well on the backcheck and there was several times he covered for his linemates being in poor defensive position. Wingels had a good game, not great, but good. He certainly was the least of the Sharks issues this game.

"I can't wait to go to Columbus and play the Blue Jackets", said no one affiliated with the Sharks ever. :frusty:
