Three goals before the mid way point? This is madness. Great job by Patty planting himself in front to provide a screen.

Burns should never play D again

I'm torn on that, but right now he's lighting it up as a forward. Nearly had a second steal at the offensive blue line similar to how he set up Couture. That range is long for a forward and he can forecheck well with it. Less skating backwards is a good thing for him.

LOL, 2 for 2 on the sharks predictions (burns & 4gs) and last week I made a killing cause I been sayin even before the Hawks broke the record that colorado would be the one to snap it...

You should see when I get these feelings on roulette people look at me like wtf when I start callin out numbers... To bad it hasnt happened with the lottery yet... haha -- one day, the day after SJ wins a stanley cup...

I hope this is not a ONE GAME WONDER thing.

2 games at forward, 2G & 1A... i wouldnt expect him to put up pts every night, but Burns at F is better for this team than Burns on D.. They have plenty of Dmen to go around... It filled a hole at forward without giving up any players...

Now is SJ would package Clowe & Greiss to edmonton for one of their tastey young prospects we can have 3 solid lines... Or somehow find a way to land Hagelin from NY, then id get a hefty rise in my pants (well ok, maybe a few cm rise)

Likewall, can you pick my lotto numbers for me this weekend??!! You are on a roll!! LOL.
Seriously, nice call on Burns. He was the best player on the ice last night. You're right, the D is good, and Burns solves a major issue at forward.

The play on the defensive side of the puck has been very good but the dmen are still struggling with transitioning the puck to the forwards to create offense (Burns would help greatly with this). Part of this can be blamed on the system in place but a majority goes to the players. Vlasic has been poor in this area, Murray is beyond useless when it comes to transition, and Stuart has been declining here. Boyle has also been slow in moving the puck giving defenses time to set up. The only ones of late who have done a good job in this area are Irwin and Braun. Demers has also been very good when McLellan actually ices him. If the Sharks can improve this part of their game and find a better forechecking forward for the 2nd line to replace Clowe we could start seeing some decient hockey from the Sharks.
