Lets take a closer look at these two programs.

Auburn
3 National Titles
12 conference titles
3 Heisman Winners
22-13-2 Bowl record

TCU
2 National Titles
18 conference titles
1 Heisman Winner
13-14-1 Bowl record

Both can pay top chedder.

TCU is the better destination as far as living, lifestyle, amenities.

Now with TCU in the Big Boy conferene, I don't see what Auburn can offer that makes it the better job. The tradition just isn't vastly superior as both have shared in great success in the past and recently. Just my opinion I guess, no offense meant on Auburn.

they might need to prove they can win in that league first. I do somewhat agree with you though

I don't like big cities

I was just about to post this. I think the debate of DFW vs. Auburn would come down to whether you prefer urban or rural areas.

In my opinion, Auburn is the better school. They can give him even more money that he already makes, they don't have to compete with Texas and A&M for recruits, they are bordered by Georgia and Florida, and Auburn holds their own in recruiting against anyone.

He will do a much better job recruiting at Auburn, and have a much better shot at playing for National titles.

Also, I'm assuming Auburn has much better facilities, bigger stadium, the gameday atmosphere is great in Jordon-Hare. And he gets to be apart of the Iron Bowl...:D

Did I forget to mention that Auburn is in the SEC? The best conference in the land..

There aren't too many recruits that would pick TCU over Auburn. Currently Auburn ranks #11 in recruiting. I don't see TCU anywhere.

Patterson would be a home run hire for Auburn. I wish Tennessee could get him.

Auburn has a lot more fans. That makes them more relevant to the polls, which will have an effect on playoff selection. Fact.
