Not sure that would be a good hire for Auburn......Patterson is a great coach, but he doesn't do too well in controlling his players off the field. Plus he doesn't know that recruiting territory.

Looking like him or Petrino. Something could be announced Monday or Tuesday.

A lot of the Auburn people don't like Petrino at all, but he will be hired if he's the best option. Just what I heard.

Just today they said Patterson has moved up the list. I personally think he would be the best option, and I think based on the feeling of some boosters, they'll go with Patterson over Petrino.

Patterson says he'll listen to Auburn, but to me he seems like a loyal to TCU. I don't know if he would leave after 15 years with TCU.

Auburn isn't a step up job IMO.

Both are second fiddle program in the state.

Both have had recent success.

D/FW much better place to live than butthole Alabama.

Unless they offer like $5million a year I bet he is just using them as leverage to get a pay raise.

Patterson already makes nearly $3.5 million per year. He's the 10th highest paid coach in the nation.

What was in incorrect about my post?

Texas is the premier program in the state, not TCU.
Alabama is the premier program in the state, not auburn.

TCU won the Rose Bowl and went undefeated few years ago.
Auburn won the BCS title game and went undefeated few years ago.

Dallas/Fort Worth > Auburn, AL

Both are in premier conferences.

Both have multipul national championship seasons so the tradition is there. I have no dog in this show. I'm a outsider. You as a homer I challenge you to prove in a non homeristic way to tell us what makes auburn a step up job cause I don't see it.

I'm not being a homer. Auburn is a top 15 program all-time......TCU is not. It is a step up. Have you ever even been to Auburn? I would much rather live there than Dallas
