I was a big fan of season 1 of Boardwalk Empire, and the end of season 2. I find that Game of thrones is a much better story, has comparable acting (great), and fewer annoying women so far.

Entourage is more of a comedy so isn't comparable. I've never seen true blood.

I was thinking about this today. What I ultimately hope for Game of Thrones...

1. Go all 7 seasons...

2. 3 feature(or HBO) films covering the events that led to Robert's Rebellion and the rebellion itself... Covering the epic events that occurred when the characters were about 15 years younger. The backstory is actually my favorite part of the books. It's pretty insane what happened, and I think HBO is going to spill it bit by bit as each season goes on. As a hint to one of the craziest parts of it all, and I'm sure they'll get into it more this season, one of my favorite scenes in season 1 was when Robert asked Jaime what King Aerys said before Jaime killed him... "He said the same thing he'd been saying for hours..... Burn them all...."

3. Re-release of the series with added special effects....because there will be some scenes that can't have too much fire..... Heh heh heh...MAAHAHAHAHAH!

i'm enjoying it a lot but I'd still but DeadWood, Rome, and Carnivale ahead of it.
It if makes it to conclusion and maintains this quality it will be the GOAT for HBO though
