Well, yeah. By not completing the books and concentrating on the HBO adaptation, Martin just let HBO finish the thing. He'll now write the 'novelization', and have it match up 99%.

I love think Lost is up there because of all the controversy surrounding the finale. Basically the way it ended is very similar to GOT among fans it seems.

But ya the Sopranos is definitely one of worst ever.

My take is killing off the night king ended the fun and the mystery. since the NK was killed, we knew one of the characters was actually going to be left in charge. sure there are multiple people to put on the throne, so multiple ways to end the show but still someone is guaranteed to be a winner.


i think the NK should have been the last character dealt with and that would have left us in more suspense and writing a better ending an easier task.

I'm also mostly satisfied with the ending overall, especially with Sansa's, Arya's and Jon's faiths. Sansa got what she wanted and deserved, Arya became a kick-ass explorer and Jon went to the only place where was really happy. They should have shown us a nice redheaded curiously staring at him.

Stuff I can't wrap my head around:

1. Why would the other lords accept a Northener as their king when the north is not part of the kingdom.
2. Why would Grey Worm accept that council and their decisions, when he didn't even get any say?
3. Related to the previous post, why didn't Grey Worm kill Jon? Why did he keep Jon as a prisoner after he murdered Dany?
4. Once the north declared independence, why would the other kingdoms (especially the Iron Born) accept to remain under Bran's rule?
5. What happened with the remaining Dothraki? Do they peacefully go back to Essos?
6. Why did Brianne stay in KL? Didn't she swear an oath to Sansa? Why isn't she on Sansa's Queensguard?

5. It appears they have multiplied since getting wiped out against the AoD, so this is a good thing. They were last seen patrolling the streets of Kings Landing and will probably be commissioned to help with the rebuilding.
