Grew up and still live in Nebraska, so I still watch the Huskers quite a bit. My dad hated the Horns so I became a fan around 94 to tick him off. And I added the Noles in hopes that they will join the Big XII.

Holy White Walkers...was that Benjen on the horse?

I haven't read this far yet, but I am going to go out on a limb and say no. It seems as though the White Walkers are an actual "race" of some sort. Those zombie like creatures on foot are the undead (wights) raised by the White Walkers. Therefore if Benjen is indeed out there, he would be on foot as a reanimated corpse, unless he is still alive...

don't think this is a spoiler but:

there is one character north of the wall whose identity is ambiguous, and many people believe that is benjen, but i don't know. grrm's m.o. seems to be that if you don't actually see a character die, then he/she is not dead. it is also not par for the series to have a character just completely disappear off the face of the "earth." benjen seems to be a character where EVERYONE wants to know what happened to him, despite him having such little time in the book/show, it's one of the great mysteries of the series. so i imagine he will be back one way or another.
