The Flyers are a magnificent 2-7 in shootouts this year. One of those two shootout wins came against the Wings.

I didn't realize how bad Detroit has been in shootouts since 2011.

However, this isn't even close.

In 2009, the first year of the shootout, the Flyers went 4-3 in them.

Since then, we have gone 16-42, which equals a winning percentage of 27.6%.

We're the worst shootout team in Nhl history.

Definitely. You're allowed to switch goalies and we should absolutely do it. We should just groom a backup goalie as a shootout specialist. It's THAT bad.

Haha! That's exactly what I've been saying about Jimmy Howard for years!

Mercifully, Mrazek is better than Howard in shootouts and Mrazek is the one slated to start tonight. Howard doesn't make saves in shootouts; the ones that don't find twine on him are ones the shooters flub.

He's due. And this just feels like one of those games like Game 6 vs. Pittsburgh in 2012 where G just comes out and set's the tone immediately and wills his team to win. Just has that feel to me. I agree. I think we're going to see our boys play one of their best games of the season tonight. They've been doing it often lately and the stage is never bigger or brighter this time.
