I guess I'll get the ball rolling this year.

I think we play well this game. We may look back at the end of the season and be pleasantly surprised at how well we played. This game depends on Trickett... Can we protect him? That's a real good question. I think this game surprises the pundits as both defenses struggle in a uncharachteristically high scoring contest. I hope I am wrong, but I believe the turnover bug will get us in the third quarter.

Alabama 52
WVU 37

Defense is the name of the day. Bama struggles to figure out the return to the 3-3. WVU strikes first and takes an early lead, set up off an interception. WVU's offense struggles until they find a gap in the middle of the secondary and torch the safeties. Bama breaks off a long TD run but WVU holds a slim lead at the half, 14-13.

The third quarter is evenly matched. A pair of field goals for WVU expands the lead to 20-16. The the 4th quarter bug hits us as we tire out. Bama has stuck to the run and it pays off here. A pair of 4th quarter TDs put the Tide up for good and they hold on to take a 30-23 win.

Be surprised to Saban run up the score if it goes that way...

I think Wv holds their own in the First half...but the 3 man line gets leaned on in the second half...Bama 30-17

Expect Dana to run a couple of trick plays... will open the game or second half based on he coin toss with an on sides kick!

Like Wv to cover the 26 1/2 and I like over 55 points..

God I hope I'm wrong and we upset these guys!!........

34-17 Alabama

You guys hop out to an early lead, then we take over in the 2nd half with depth. Will be a hard fought game, but a Tide win nonetheless.

WVU 38 Bama 28

Simms first pass ends up being a pick 6 for Dravon Henry. Saban then goes to the run, but TJ Yeldons fumble sets Bama back. Simms gets pulled after his second pick and WVU is up 24-7 at the half.

Bama dominates the second half except for a Rushel Shell long breakaway TD and a Mario Alford Kick return TD. Coker gets the name Choker as 2 red zone interceptions kill the Bama comeback.

I believe Bama will take over the game in the 2nd half. WVU has not seen a RB who combines speed and size like the trio from Bama in quite some time. WVU does not cover TE's.

Bama 34

WVU 21

Like slaton, I think WVU easily covers the spread. In my heart, I see WVU exploiting Bama's young, inexperienced secondary. Picking off the Bama QB(s) a few times, and stuffing the run for one of the biggest upsets of the decade.

Hoping my heart is right…

Bama will need to come up big on defense and the running game because they don't have a QB.

Bama - 31
WVU - 10

I think we'll go into halftime down something like 17-3, cut it close to 17-10, but ultimately Bama's depth on defense, and their ability to convert 3rd downs on offense will keep the good guys at bay.

Man, I hope I'm wrong!
