Don't be a jabroni.
Game night, 7pm on FDS. Junior I has a baseball game from 530-830pm so I'm going to miss a lot of this one, will check the phone and probably watch the replay after we get back.
Nothing new to report, expect the same line up as against Seattle. Edmundson, Doughty, Turcotte, Jeannot out, Kempe back in. It indeed was a child why he left for personal reasons midgame so the good news is he isn't injured. Burroughs and Moverare will check in in place of those two, Kuemper to start.
Ducks played last night, I watched that one and they were down 3-1 to the Flames before rattling off 2 goals in regulation and then winning it in OT 4-3. They have assembled some impressive youth during this rebuild and they played roles last night. That trade for Gauthier is looking great, he had a two goal game last night including the OTGW. I think they'll be pretty competitive next year and may make a push for the POs.
I think the Kings are better off resting some of these banged up guys before the POs but also locking up home ice advantage is huge too. Good experience for some of these young guys. Turcotte is almost ready apparently, he will replace Mallott when he comes back which seems to be this weekend. Wrong decision IMO but I've always believed a player doesn't lose his spot due to injury but that'll be disappointing because Mallott has played very well in Turcotte’s spot. Actually better than Turcotte IMO in the small sample size we've seen.
The Ducks have a worse PP than LA which is hard to believe but they'll be ready to play with the territorial rivalry in play. The Kings should dominate this game but we know better, that's why they play the games.
Prediction, Kings 3-2 - another low scoring affair between these two teams. Goals by Laferriere, Spence and Mallott. I think the Ducks will give them a handful with guys like Carlsson and Gauthier, McTavish is a good player and irritator as well.
Let's Go Kings!
