OT goals should count as much as shoot out goals. While its fun for the masses, its not NHL hockey nor should the stats count as such.
I think OT goals should count, they win the game actually playing hockey. But it's harder to get an OT goal in the POs vs RS so I don't get overly excited about them October to April. But when something like Martinez happens in G7 in 2OT, that's something to get excited about.
SO goals, so lame. There's a reason why it falls under a team goal and not an individual goal. I wish they would just do away with the SO, I've been wishing that since its inception. I never saw anything wrong with two teams slugging it out but ends in a tie.
Means you saw some competitive hockey most likely.
Real 5 v 5 ot....ok, Otherwise it's a spectacle and if stats are being kept they should be separate from regular time
