Don't be a jabroni.
Game day again, 5pm start on FDS. Second of a B2B and a weird one where they had to travel. I didn't get a good look at Kuzmenko last night being out to dinner and a small TV where we were seated so I will get a better look tonight staying in at home.
Doesn't look like there will be any changes in the line up but Rittich may get the start although I'm seeing Kuemper may go back to back. Looks like the 12/6 and Lewis will sit again thank god.
Looks like Kuzmenko is getting L1 time with Kempe and Kopitar, going to start calling that the The Brand Line for obvious reasons. Bottom line is at least he is being given top line minutes and not banished to the B6 right off the bat like PLD was. Dude is slow but has some decent offensive instincts from what I know of him, let's see if he gets that first goal as a King tonight. Cody Glass was traded to NJ and he got his first as a Devil earlier today, would be nice to see a Kings acquisition do the same.
Vegas is on a tear winning four in a row and 8 of the last 9. Pretty nutty seeing Pearson as LW1 with Eichel and hobo Stone, he was a solid T6 winger here but never envisioned him as a T3 player. But it's working so whatever, their LW2 is Saad who was just signed after being waived for contract termination reasons.
They're 9 points ahead of LA for PD1 and I don't see the Kings catching them but they're only 5 points out of PD2 with the Oilers going into a slump at the same time the Kings have. Big win last night but I don't feel they're out of the doldrums just yet. That game could have gone either way. The Flames and Vancouver are still nipping at the Kings heels.
Vegas is a whole different animal and they're putting up 4.5 GPG during this streak and only allowing 1.75 GAPG. They have a lot of weapons and always seem to make a big move when they need to.
Prediction: Knights 4-3, with goals by Kempe, Laferriere and Spence. Hoping the Buster we saw last night is the one that shows up today and not the secondary assist king of recent months.
Let's Go Kings!
