Game day again, 4pm start on FDS. I have my 1:1 with my boss every Monday from 330-415 so I'll jump on a little late.

Nothing really new to report, same line up as Saturday against the BJs unless Doughty checks in. This was the game I thought he would make his season debut but I haven't seen anything official yet. Kuemper to start and the Kings going 12/6 again.

Kings will be facing McLellan for the first time since he was fired as Kings coach last year, should be interesting to see what he does and if it's similar to when he was with LA. I've watched a handful of Wings games since he took over (thank you CI) and I do see some tendencies he did in LA but not completely. Curious how he faces his former team tonight.

Got Buster and Dunno - two of the Kings' coldest players - on the board Saturday so going with that trend, prediction: Kings 3-0 with goals by TOTM, Foegle and Lewis...because we know he will be a corpse and Jill will still play him.

Let's Go Kings!

Wings 10-4-1 since McLellan took over, two points out of a WC. Didn't realize he was doing so well but good for him, he's a solid RS coach and will install structure and discipline. Earlier today Kempe gave him credit for turning him into the player he is.

Kings about to go on PP, let's see how this goes...

Buster with the Detroit own goal, I'm sure there will be some QB slobbering going on all around. Funny stuff, straight up Modry second assist nonsense.

Dude still stinks and no one can prove otherwise but take it and run.

Nice job Buster, not sure what he was complaining about. Hope this doesn't burn LA.

And of course it does...2-2. Kings need to escape the remainder of the PK and get something going, you can feel momentum shifting.

Oh God as if hearing about Buster constantly even though he isn't someone worth about talking all the time now we have to hear from Clinton Byfield, his dad? How about we hear from an unheralded player's pop like Moverare?

Call it a conspiracy theory but for an underachieving overpaid 40 point guy we sure have a lot of Buster crammed down our throat. Why? Like I always say, damage control - the Kings know they botched this pick, making him a carnival side show to justify the pick is even worse.

I hear what your sayin, but didnt you see the shine off that golden Q around his neck when that puck went in? You don't get that kind of effort from just Anybody

Remember when Kingsters said Anson Carter will bring more black fans? Or when Scott Gomez was shopped it was if he comes to LA more Hispanics will attend (newsflash, like 70% of Kings fans are Hispanic. Didn't need a Gomez and blacks generally don't like hockey)? Or Fukufuji would bring the Asian community? Yeah nevermind he couldn't stop a Dragon Roll or a puck, he just sucked.

This is how I feel with Buster, it's some pathetic PR stunt to deflect that they screwed up. It's nauseating, it's like NHL DEI.

I mentioned this when he was drafted, it was the "thing to do" at that time and the political climate. Im not saying he didnt deserve to be a high pick, he absolutely had the hype. but I will say anyone that can scout even a little takes at least a couple guys before him at minimum.

All 2020 redrafts have him between 7-10. I think that's accurate about where he should have gone.

Just a personal experience, in 2016 I signed up at Santa Ana College for the fire academy program. I was in a rut professionally and wanted to be part of US&R (Urban Search and Rescue, these are the guys repelling down buildings and roped down helicopters. That adrenaline rush has never left me), there are only 5 units in all of CA and I wanted to feel like I made a difference.I completed the course and blew every white 6'2/220 pound candidate out of the water in terms of strength, conditioning, agility, intelligence and endurance. At the time I was 5'10/168, mixed Middle Eastern and white. Mind you I was 41 at the time, way past my prime. I quit drinking for months but still smoked.

Test was in Dec 2016, a week before my youngest son (4 almost 5 at the time) is sitting on my shoulders and decides to be The Rock and twists down my neck and completely wrecked it, I couldn't move my neck to the left for 5 weeks. Missed the test and gave up on the dream, I was going to turn 42 in Feb 2017.

Fast forward a year and the fire captain in LA (won't mention the station, he is still there) hits me up out of the blue and says come take the test, you'll make it. I said I'm done, and now I'm a year older, it was a nice thought. His response? Doesn't matter, LAFD wants diversity and you'll be assigned a good station off the bat.

I was absolutely disgusted, where has this world gone? Heritage, age, color over ability? Yeah no. All started with affirmative action in 1993, I'd want to be picked for my ability and merit and nothing else.

Its because you have integrity. Some jobs are earned.....just like a place on a team.

McLellan with the last laugh, Kings on a mini skid. Need to nip that in the bud, maybe the annual December Slide moved to January.
