Game day, 730pm start on FDS. Need to sneak in a Costco trip for me and Target and Ulta for the teenage girl before then so we will get moving soon to be back in time for the game.
Seems like there hasn't been anything really to report that's new, Jill is going to run the 11/7 with Thomas and Englund around to check in if a 12/6 is run. Rittich to start, Doughty and Laferriere were on the ice today with the team but in red non contact jerseys. I fully believe Doughty will be joining the team and will play in games on that 5 game road trip coming up starting Saturday, Laferriere maybe not so much.
The Kings changed the logo at center ice for a pretty cool LAFD image that we will see tonight. My only concern is there seems to be a lot of black and how that may affect seeing the puck. Maybe it's nothing, just a thought but awesome the Kings are honoring the FD and first responders.
The Penguins have not been real good since the holiday break, a total of 3 wins. The Pens did beat LA 3-2 back on 12/17 in Pittsburgh but they're 3-6-3 in their last 12. Expecting Nedeljkovic to start, he has his moments as a goalie. He actually scored a goal and an assist last week which was fun to see, we don't get to see goalie goals too often.
And it's the long awaited return of The Lizard since he left LA. He's in the same B3 role as he was in LA but you know he will be excited and buzzing around as usual. He will also get crushed and thrown around like a rag doll as usual. I can see maybe LA giving him a quick tribute between whistles or something, he gave it his all here and his work ethic was outstanding.
Prediction: Kings 3-1 with goals by Dunno, Turcotte and Buster who desperately needs one too. Dude is on pace for 19G/21A/40PTS which is embarrassing.
