Don't be a jabroni.
HNY clowns, game day again and first of 2025. It's a 3pm start on FDS. Weird start time for a home game but have to appease the EC folks so they can get to sleep by 8pm. Also the only game on the NHL docket today so all eyes will be on this game as a hockey fan.
Nothing new to report, no skate today being an early game so no definitive starter yet but me thinks it'll be Kuemper. Looking like Jill will run the same 11/7 lineup as Sunday against the Flyers meaning Thomas, Englund and Arty Retardy available in case he chooses otherwise. He sure seems to be a big fan of that format so I don't see that changing even though I think it should time to time to get guys playing time. Englund for example hasn't checked into a game in 2 months, Retardy at all and Thomas very minimal.
NJ was a tough one on that 7 game road trip, another big test. I mentioned the Kings went 3-2-2 on that trip but their two regulation losses were to two top teams in the East, Washington and this same Devils team. They beat the teams they should and battled for the 2 OTLs so again a mixed team with mixed results.
Second and final chance at redemption to show they can compete with and defeat better teams with this game wrapping up the season series.
Going to wash my Harley and catch the game in the man cave at the same time, should be a good one. Prediction: Kings pay it back 3-2 with goals by Kempe, Fiala and Dunno.
Let's Go Kings!
