Don't be a jabroni.
Game day, 7pm start on TNT. You guys know how sketchy I get with nationally televised games and the Kings, they'll be on an insane 42 game winning streak yet somehow lose 10-3 in the 43rd game, a national game.
Tough test tonight with Dallas who swept LA last season 3-0 and outscored them 13-3. Those games were not competitive at all. The Kings are only 3-4-1 against current PO bound teams and tonight will be big to see how the Kings would fare against a good Dallas team.
Kings have won three in a row, Dallas four so something is going to give tonight. I think the pressure falls on LA, we all know Dallas is a solid team all over the lineup and can beat any team any day. LA, not so much yet although almost a third of the way through the season I don't think we should be asking ourselves that.
Seguin is out 4-6 months with hip surgery but was quietly having a solid season and Johnston and Robertson are always threats. Robertson is from Arcadia, maybe we won't have to hear "Thousand Oaks native Trevor Moore" repeatedly tonight. Look for DeSmith to start.
Lewis was put on IR and is out 4-6 weeks so Jill is considering going 11/7 which would put Burroughs in the lineup on D and Lee out if they choose to do so. Kuemper is off IR but will back up Rittich tonight. I appreciate everything Lewis has done for LA - who can forget his complete harassment of Hamhuis that created the turnover in the NZ that Stoll and DeWhite King broke in on that two on one with Stoll ending that series against Vancouver in OT - but veteran leadership aside he doesn't provide much so I think the lineup will be a bit better with him sitting for a bit. He will hit his 1000th game in 2025, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Lewie. Relax and enjoy the family time.
Prediction: Stars 4-1, Fiala with the Kings goal. This is just not a good match up, Dallas is big and physical and play a north south game. Expect guys like Benn to be in Rittich's grill all night long.
Popping in a sausage onion and pepperoni deep dish pizza and cracking a beer and going to enjoy this game, worked my butt off today.
Let's Go Kings!
