Don't be a jabroni.
It's game day, 1230pm start on ESPN+ apparently but not seeing too much info out there yet. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and enjoyed the food and family.
Look for Eric Portillo to get the start today in his NHL debut, I haven't watched this guy much but he's a load at 6'6" and 220 pounds. By the sounds of Teh Blog he is the savior of the future but then again we all know what their hit record is so I wouldn't put too much stock into it. Quick got his first call up in Dec 2007 and was freaking awful and we all saw how that turned out so as I say, a prospect is a prospect until they prove otherwise.
I'm not expecting any line changes, what I am expecting is a lackluster effort. The Kings are consistently inconsistent so after a whooping in SJ and then a dominating win against Winnipeg your guess is as good as mine on what type of effort we will see.
Anaheim has been playing decent hockey and are 6 points behind LA (21) so this is one of those 4 point games. At G24 I'd like to have seen a stable consistent team but no dice so far. Carlsson is turning into a true 1C for Anaheim, watch what he does and how he drives play compared to Buster. Fowler is out but they have some young talent on the back end. I'm expecting Dostal to start, who is slowing taking away the #1 from Gibson.
Would like to see the Kings PP get going, could be the difference in a game like this. Juat don't play down to the opponent's level and everything should be OK.
Prediction: Kings 4-2, Portillo becomes the first Kings rookie goalie to get a W in his debut in some time. Goals by TOTM, Clarke, Fiala and Laferriere with the EN.
Let's Go Kings!
