From the article...

...but this is exactly what the complete rag New York Post would love you to think by making a headline that runs counter to the rest of the article to sell more papers.

Fucking awful.

This I hate the post and Larry brooks has always been a hack writer

We live in a world of Wiki leaks now....nothing is private anymore and never will be again....if there is a story to be told, no matter how confidential, somebody will expose it....right or wrong...

I think you are right as regards to major stories, which I'm not sure this falls under. That doesn't mean it shouldn't be something that still inspires outrage.

I think stories below the national radar often have press that are respectful, but journalism standards have fallen significantly in the past several decades, no doubt.

I think it's sad and will be one of many factors that ultimately cause the demise of our country as a great superpower.

Yes, but both of the formers still have some value. You can't serve a warrant to an e-mail address, nor can you ship a shirt over the Web. At the same time, there is some value in having people "hired" for a job and having standards to live up for your job rather than just anyone starting a Web page or getting a Twitter handle and saying whatever they want irregardless of the truth as if they were an expert.

I'm sorry but the public's right to know should never outweigh a family's right to privacy....just another reason why I'm starting to hate the world a little more everytime I start a new day

I don't hate the entire world, just bits and pieces of it. :mmph:

A guy I knew in college had this tag line in his high school yearbook...

Why be racist when there are so many good reasons to hate people on an individual basis?

Geez no wonder Brooks & Torts don't get along. I don't care whether we have a right to know or not. The family should have their privacy. The media could have waited until after the funeral at least.

Only in this country do you have media speculating on someone's dirt before the body is cold and others protesting at funerals. :L

Brooks is the epitome of an out of control reporter who thinks he's doing something half decent by 'getting' a story. The ' I'm just doing my job excuse' is fucking horseshoe, he had to have gone above and beyond to find that shit out and for nothing but his own personal benefit brooks I hope torts knees you in the nuts you bug eyed fuck

We also have HIPAA laws to protect people and families from this shit. Even some Hollywood celebs have won in court against false or "doctored" statements put out by papers and tabbloids.

If Brooks is wrong (considering they are still waiting for the reports from the ME) I hope he finds himself in a courtroom for slander /defamation or violation of privacy laws.

Douchebag.
