It does hurt the Kings a bit.
I think I would rather have the Ducks than the Flames. Kings and Ducks have never made the postseason in the same year and never have teams from one division all made the playoffs.

Yeah, those couple phantom penalties called on the Ducks in the 1st and 2nd were a real example of the NHL rigging it for "novelty" teams.

Maybe Calgary should look at themselves in the mirror for getting down 3-0 instead of pointing fingers.

That was a fuckin' joke in the last 7 minutes of that 3rd period. If the Ducks score with an extra attacker with the goalie pulled, fine, no problem, but those last two penalties called were bullshit game management calls.

Yeah I agree. I live in Playa Del Rey now (LA). I know a fair amount of Kings fans, and a couple Ducks fans... but still there is far far more Dodger or Laker talk. It would be especially exciting if the two somehow managed to play each other (4/5 series maybe).

Not a big fan of the refereeing, but the Ducks don't really need help from Gary Bettman to get into the playoffs - just health. Calgary needed a better opening five minutes, end of. Selanne (2 Goals, 5 Assists in 2 Games), Perry (2 Goals, 3 Assists, 1 Shootout Goal in 3 Games), and Getzlaf (1 Goal, 5 Assists, 1 Shootout Goal in 3 Games) have eaten the Flames' lunch all season. Calgary limped out of the gate in an important game and let them do it again.

Nasville, Chicago & Anaheim all win tonight. Very bad news for the Flames. Nashville will spend almost the rest of the season at home. Anaheim still has three games in hand on Calgary. This was a must win for them & unfortunately it slipped away.

Corey Perry with his 38th was sweet. Teemu is simply amazing.
