I think most of us know the name wasn't coming back. The way DQ and AP talked about playing "Commander" football and Josh hinted last year it wasn't changing anytime soon. Around the time the new Stadium was announced he said the name is here to stay.
I'll never love it but I made my piece as well as I can. I bought a hat and put Naval officer cross fouled anchors and 2 silver oak leaf on the had. If I am going to the hat I am going to give a nod to Navy Commanders. It makes me laugh.
As far as Harris goes he might be on his way to being the best ever Redskin owner .... especially if he had not kept Danny's Commanders name.
I'm simply suggesting some of you need to let this go because Redskins is not coming back no matter how upset you are about it.
I laughed at the name Commanders as well when it was introduced. But slowly the name is more associated with Jayden Daniels and winning and less so with Dan Snyder. The Anneheim Mighty Ducks was a TERRIBLE name. The new owner didn't change the name, he simply shortened it. Once they won a cup suddenly it's not even discussed. Now I understand this was not a name change but it's still a similar situation.
