Government witness Manny Blazer said that between 2010 and 2014 he paid thousands of dollars to football players at:
Pitt
Penn State
Michigan
Notre Dame
UNC
Bama
Northwestern

Sounds like the investigation will expand into football. Would anybody be surprised if they found the kind of payments to players in football that they’ve found in basketball?

What will come of it though.... if enough teams are found to be paying players, (especially those at the top generating the most $$) will they be more likely to just relax the rules?

Uh Oh! You put Bama on that list, now be prepared to get ridiculed and slammed with responses that Bama does not cheat.

Pandora's box is now open for business!

Well if they aren't listed by the guy admitting to having done it, it prob didnt happen. just because you cant comprehend people wanting to play for Oregon doesnt mean they dont.

It doesn't seem to indicate that teams were paying players; agents were paying players and families so they could get their business after college. There was one instance listed I think with PSUwhere the coaches asked for a player to get something in return for staying at the school. But it doesn't suggest all those teams knew players were getting paid by agents.

Reports: Michigan football linked to college hoops corruption trial
"He did reportedly outline an instance where he paid the father of a Penn State player $10,000, at the request of an unnamed PSU assistant coach, to get the player to stay in school rather than enter the NFL draft. Blazer then claimed the player declared for the draft anyway and the player's father paid him back.

Blazer did not provide any information relating to whether or not other schools were made aware of his alleged payments. "

If Michigan did, I submit we forfeit all wins from those years. :D

Otherwise, sounds like something that happened at the individual player level that many of these schools might not have known about.

Ask USC if it matters whether the school knows or not.

You know after our conversations today it’s going to be Forcier, Gardner and Morris - right?

Just because you cheated, doesn’t mean you were good at it. You guys cheated in 2008 and still finished 3-9.

Its clear to me that all of college football was rife with massive corruption. Clearly the only thing to do is to obliterate the entire time period from 2010-2014. Erase all the video, burn the records, the whole thing never happened.

It really sucks for us because we will have to forget all about Muschamp's glorious tenure as our head coach but I feel this is a sacrifice that needs to be made for the integrity of the game.

Whoever is handling all the cheating for football in Chapel Hill needs to be fired.
