It happened NW, bittersweet for me. I really like Ty but his decline has forced the hand which should have come sooner. I love Locklear getting a real shot to own 1B before the deadline cause if he can remain hot at the plate it bodes well for the run. it’ll better define our needs. Good luck to Ty but LFG LOCK!!

I think it actually did work out, he had some good years for us. All good things come to an end, except Haniger.

I am a bit shocked especially after a win, but it was overdue. 1 AB, DP was the final straw I guess.

I am happy with Locklear as well. Ioved his defense and his attacking approach. At least if he struggles he has an excuse as a rookie. I was tired of hearing excuses for a 30 year old vet.

Plays decent 1B sure, but who takes his spot in the OF? Their insanity love of platoons makes it hard to believe they’d trade for a 1B. Wade Jr. is rumored which is ok cause he could platoon with Locklear but that would be a let down trade IMO.

I have heard a couple baseball people weary on Wade Jr. Saying you are paying top price for a guy having a career year.

I am sure they can teach Garver to play the outfield...

Interdasting stat: Ty France's On Base Percentage i .312 and only .008 behind the team's leader (Rivas .320).

In the last 48 hours we have traded away a relief pitcher to the Dodgers and waived a starting position player who was 4th on our team in OBP. These moves are probably for the betterment of our team overall, but do they really define the moves of a team that claims to be buying at the trade deadline?
