For anyone familiar with terrestrial radio, or satellite or internet radio for that matter, formats are basically a collection of songs meant to provide a similar ambiance for the audience. Presumably, this makes it easier to get sponsors due to demographics and data and other things I know nothing about birthing.
This challenge is called The Lite Stuff and if you've ever run across a Lite-FM type of station then this one'll be easy. It's that lighter, seemingly inoffensive pop or adult contemporary sound that's usually meant to be heard in the background while at work or while at home and just wanting to relax.
