I know, I know Some of you will hate this. But I'm going to track my opinion in percentages that Romo gets his job back when healthy. I'll try to make reasoned statements to back my opinion and not just "shiny and new equals better".

As of right now, I say there is a 95% chance a healthy Romo gets his job back on Day 1.

Why 95% for Tony: He's Romo. He makes the defense respect the deep ball. He is more accurate than Dak, when healthy. Everyone still trusts him when he is on the field, they only don't trust he can stay there. Dak could benefit from watching Tony work.

Why 5% for Dak: Dak offers something Tony doesnt...the X-factor. Tony doesn't have it. He is going to be in the pocket and if you collapse it he is going to bail and throw it away. The days of Tony dancing and spinning are over. As soon as someone gets close, he's going down. Dak gives the defense someone else to worry about, gives the need for a LB to play the spy role. He can actually sell a play action or zone read, even if just for a second. No one thinks Tony is going to keep the ball on a read play.

I heard the question asked on the Radio "who does Dom Capers want to face"? and the answer was Tony. NFL defense can spot a running play or a throwing play pretty quick. But when someone is reading you back it makes life difficult.

So 5% chance that Tony has lost his job, not much of one but the sliver is there.

I should also state I don't think Tony will be publicly benched. I think the solution will be to say that his back hasn't healed or he isn't in game shape. No way the organization disrespects Tony like that, unless Tony refuses to go along with the benching. And he isn't that kind of guy.

Moving the line:

Chance Tony plays as soon as healthy is now 92%. 8% chance Dak remains the starter.

I base this on Jerry continually talking about Romo getting the job back. If Jerry says it, the opposite is true.

I agree that it's over 90%, but it's going to be real interesting if the Cowboys beat GB up there. I think the perspective on Dak totally changed when the offense destroyed a good Bengals defense...without Dez. What was this team last year without Romo and Dez, 0-11?

I guess you could ask the question. Why would Dom Capers tell the truth?

If Cowboys win on the road at Green Bay, the line should move to even money.

The loyalty to Romo is admirable, even honorable.

But Romo can't win the big game. Never has, never will.

Gonna be hard to take Dak out. What if though he turns out to be RG3 or Nick Foles. It's bittersweet honestly for me. I love winning, but it's hard watching Romo's career end like this. You see fans and media bringing up all his past mistakes and how he has never won anything. To think about what that guy has been through here- this is what I meant about us Romo fans know how this turns out

priorities remain your biggest problem

my wife and youngest son are big time Romo fans but they aren't obsessed like you. It's what you do. You wanna win with conditions. After this organizations first 35 years and the results of the last 20 plus years. That's all fucked up IMO....but hey, have at it, shout it from the rooftop...Us Romo Fans!!!

All you have to do is listen to how giddy Jerra is about getting Tony back.

There is going to be a come back to earth game for Dak. It's not something I'm wishing for but, lets see what that looks like and how he handles it.

This week looks like a prime spot for that. I just can't see him pulling off a win in GB with likely no Dez. But damn...if he does...watch out

Me?
I'm saying that Romo comes back. But the more Jerry says it happens and the more Dak wins, there is a slight chance the odd happens.
