I was thinking along the same lines. I think it's a combination of the two.

He's playing well. Will he play at that level next year? I doubt it. He certainly has at least some of the right tools, though.

He's like an amazing game manager. It's weird. Just doesn't make a mistake.

You're definitely legit when you start getting called out as being a system qb on message boards.

It happens to everyone that comes that hot out of the gate. We'll see how he handles that, but an offseason makes a significant difference in how teams play you.

Honestly...every quarterback benefits from a great system.

Both.

He can start in this league but there's no fucking way his TD to INT ratio will be that way going forward. And if Mike Vick would ever stay healthy for more than 15 minutes, I believe he'd be just as capable running Kelly's system. Sometimes things aren't black and white. Well...unless you're Riley Cooper

He's Joe Flacco with a better attitude. I'm not bashing Flacco either. I think he's overpaid but he's definitely a legit starter and his arm is unreal. Foles was the guy that I was really hoping the Seahawks took in the draft. Things worked out for us as well though. His problem is obviously mobility, but if he has time to sit in the pocket then he's going to shred defenses.

that is what many have said about Brady throughout the beginning of his career... to be successful, you need the right situation... but the better you are, the easier it is to find the right situation...

Yeah, you had one guy who's too short and one guy who's too slow and they're both tearing it up (Wilson hasn't been tearing it up lately but I have confidence he'll turn it around). This is where I don't see what scouts are thinking when grading guys. Foles could obviously throw the football at Arizona and the majority of the time they were at least a little overmatched but he still produced. You'd think that actually being able to throw the football factored into the ratings with guys like them.

I think that he's a good young QB in a good situation for him. What happens in the future is anyone's guess but I don't like people thinking this is all about Foles or for that matter, Chip Kelly. One thing Philly has had and still does is a lot of talent on the offensive side of the ball. This doesn't diminish how well Foles has played or Kelly's coaching. But the Eagles are far from mediocre on offense. They were good before and now they have a scheme that fits that talent. The defense still needs some work but it is improving, mostly because the offense lowers the pressure on them. Fwiw, though, I think Foles is much better for that team and system than Vick.

you cant complain with 27-2 TDs/INTs

Those that say he is just a system QB.
That isn't a Bus driver, but a stretch limo driver!
