Well, Leighton looked good in the shots he faced. Square to every shot. Gave up some rebounds, but that's to be expected for a guy who hasn't played in 2 months.
Homer said they felt they had the game in hand and kept Giroux off the bench as a precautionary measure. Safe thing to do up 3-0 at that point.
I think Leighton will be just fine. Keep in mind he has been practicing upwards of 3 weeks, but was just yesterday given medical clearance. Also keep in mind the guy only lost 5 games all season and had an outstanding save % and GAA.
