Flyers talking to Habs about Subban?

There is a story on the RDS site (RDS is pretty bad about throwing stuff against the wall and seeing what sticks), but the gist is the Flyers approached the Canadiens about Subban after Nashville matched the Weber offer sheet. Couturier was one of the names mentioned as a possible return until Laviolette insisted the Flyers keep Couturier.

The Flyers apparently would not include Couturier in the Weber discussion so I would doubt they would for this guy. At least its something Hockey to talk about.

Flyers can just offer sheet him(group 2 free agent),and go from there.

I believe the Habs would be happy in getting a forward back who is over 5' 10".

seeing as it's black and gold-I'm surprised at the dislike for a Bruin's goalie so early!

Side note: If Couturier is actually available and the Jackets didn't get him with the Nash mess, I will not be pleased.

Montreal would just match the offersheet. Holmgren would be doing their work for them just like he did with Weber.

If Philly wants a young talented defenseman Holmgren should give Don Maloney a call. The Yotes need help at forward & Keith Yandle is probably the player they're going to trade to get it.
