This is a game that most will pencil Florida in for the easy win. I'm here to tell you this is no walk in the park as Dayton does exactly the same thing as Florida. They play 9/10 and they run, run, and run some more. No tiring out that bunch so just being physically fit is not going to get it done and that is probably the number 1 asset of Florida; being able to hang around and win it the last 10 minutes of the game. I think Florida has the better players and hope those better players play better. I looking for Florida to block out the flyers and pick up a lot of 2nd chance points. Go Gators.

Interesting game so far... I expected more resistance from Dayton. Still a half left, and we have imploded before. Thank God we don't have Iriving Walker or Boynton to start jacking bad shots this year so I feel better about things.

Just hope Zona blows out Wisky after this...

Florida is a great defensive team and pretty average offensive team. Why in the world would u waste 20 seconds on the shot clock doing nothing every time down if your Dayton (a team that likes to run)?

Agreed. They are a good 3 point shooting team and with that half assed full court pressure Florida has played 3 point opportunities early in the shot clock are there all day.

Yeah, I don't know what Reggie and company were talking about early in this game... about how Dayton wants to slow the game down and Florida wants to speed it up. That wasn't correct...

Florida is a pretty slow offensive team.... the stats don't lie. We run a lot of offense and generally shoot in the last 15 secs. That is why I laugh when people start throwing out offensive stats to prove a teams worth.

I highly doubt Billy Donavan allows those opportunities to materialize again in this game. It’s the only reason Dayton is as close as they are.........

Florida's MO all season was to be in a tight game (and sometimes be down at the half) and then blow teams out in the final 10 mins. This game may get interesting.

Especially considering both Young and Scottie look to be hurt right now. Ice on both legs for Scottie can't be a good sign.

The only loss Florida had all year when Scottie played was @ UCONN when Florida was in control of the game and Scottie went down with 4 min left twisting his ankle bad... and UCONN ended up winning on a last sec shot.


If he doesn't play a lot in this game from here on out, we may be in trouble. Hill just isn't the same on defense or jump shooting.

Hmm..well that's a fail so far. Florida needs to get out quicker in those shooters. Dayton makes it tough bc 4/5 players can drain the 3.
