I'm pretty thin with bye weeks.

I could go to the waiver wire and get a Jerome Simpson/Santana Moss type of guy to plug in.

Or, go with Brandon Bolden, Danny Amendola, or Khiry Robinson. I don't think Robinson is a consideration at all at the moment, maybe down the line.

I think it's Amendola or Bolden. It looks like Amendola is going to play Sunday. Miami is actually 2nd in fantasy points allowed to WR's

Call me crazy, but with Ponder under center, I think Simpson has a decent game vs the Pack (and it's in Minny). Isn't AP nursing an injury too? Minny will be passing for sure.

Don't trust Amendola at all. I wouldn't be surprised if he injures himself running out of the tunnel.

I think GB's secondary blows up this weekend. They are likely getting Hayward back and Shields and House have been playing incredibly well of late...

Bad news for Bears fans. I'm sure you guys will tear McCown to pieces next week.

How has GB's D been playing this year? I know their missing Matthews, but it seems that they have improved a bit. No?

Richig we spoke alot on the espn forum on the white sox page...I'm JLovins.

Yes our defense is better. The stats aren't quite there because we had a slow start but our DL has been fantastic. Top 5 in run defense, less than 80 yards a game, without both of our starting OLBs and we have still been getting after the QB.

Our defense still hasn't started our whole group of #1s either.

And yeah, that's what it looked like in the game I saw you guys play versus Baltimore. I fear the Monday night game next week could get out of hand. Although, I suppose, with these Bears/Packers games anything can happen.

I think the loss of Briggs and Melton is more devastating to the Bears. The backups are just not as good. If McCown can still move the offense, I can only hope that Hester runs a few back, or Rodgers has an "off" day somehow. I know it's wishful thinking, but fumbles happen.

I will never put too much stock in spreads for games between our teams. They almost always end up close...much like us vs Minny.

Yeah, and after Green Bay. Our defensive schedule is pretty easy. So I think McCown could do a good job. I've heard a lot of interviews with him recently. He seems like a really smart and likable guy. I think and hope he does well.

The way I see it, we need to split these games with GB and DET the next two weeks. Cutler and Briggs could be out up to six weeks. We need to take 3 of 5 to get to 7-5 in the meantime. With BAL, STL, and MIN on the schedule after GB/DET I think it's possible. However, I wouldn't bet on it. I'd bet more on being 6-6 after those.

This team is in trouble. I see 8-8 on the horizon. Something needs to happen defensively, and FAST.
