There was likely going to be fireworks tonight regardless of what lines were trotted out for the opening face-off. Both teams were in a sour frame of mind coming into tonight's game. I completely understand why Torts did what he did though. The game was pretty tame after that line brawl (and the line brawl itself was pretty tame).

From the looks of it Calgary had full intent but letting Bieska take the opening faceoff Tort's put the icing on the cake.
