Richest deal for a QB in NFL history.

My take? Who the fuck cares. It'll be restructured in 3 to 4 years tops anyway. Just tell me how much guaranteed cash he got. The 6 years, 100+ or whatever it is, is totally irrelevant.

My take is - he damn sure better be elite, now. Seems like the new Raven OC really 'unleashed' the better parts of Flacco's game, but it will be interesting if he can merit the raise for the next few years. I've heard that 100 m is guaranteed, don't hold me to that.

If that 100M is guaranteed, say hello to Delhomme2.0

Flacco has performed at the same level statistically for the past 4 seasons. He has never ranked higher than 10th in any major statistical category among starters. When his team doesn't run then they don't win and that is not the marking of an elite QB. He was grossly overpaid and is in no way deserving of a history setting deal. The Ravens have made a big mistake that will hurt them in the long run with cap issues.
