lol. Lots of guys are having luck with shad. I always did pretty well with cut gills for the channels and live gills on flatties. Try floating a gill under a bobber over by the covered jettie. Cast out over towards the submerged trees and lock your spool down.

This reminds me of the time my best friend from the Navy and I were going to hike the Grand Canyon.....we had the camping permits to camp at the bottom and all the gear loaded up in my truck.....we stopped to stay at another ex-Navy buddies place in Phoenix the first night......we were going to get up early the next morning and head up to the Canyon......we spent the entire weekend at the guys house in Phoenix in the pool, drinking beer, bbq'ing steaks and clubbing in the evenings......LOL
