#willneverforget... still in disbelief. And knowing all too well that was the end of the Pirates but at the time not knowing almost 30 years later they still suck and have no hope.

EDIT: That hit will be one of those things that I will remember even when I have full on dementia and will be talking about on my deathbed with my grand children.

Yeah, One those things I’ll always remember where I was when it happened. I was stationed in Pensacola at the time and was driving home on leave, listening to the game on the radio. I was heading north on I79 in WV less than a half mile from where it splits with I68.

I just turned the radio off and drove in stunned silence; couldn’t believe it. And as you say, if only we’d have known then how that would begin 30 years of suckage...
