Sam looks like he wants to play for Portland. Not going to happen!

Can someone quickly explain what the issue with Kucherov is?

He was ready to play weeks ago but Tampa didn’t have the cap space to activate him. Keeping him on LTIR all season allowed them to acquire players at the deadline and not lose free agents last offseason. Miraculously he was healthy once the playoffs began

I only saw part of it, but pretty fun game with a FAST pace tonight.

Really excellent slate of 1st round games so far... all very even. Don't see any clear front runner in this year's playoffs, I think half the teams could win it.

This was my favorite series so far. And naturally rooting for the Panthers because the "legit" cap circumvention the Bolts did to get to this point.

Plus Stamkos was put on IR at the deadline when they took on Savard and miraculously he is fine too. They are 18 million over the cap.

I get teams looking for loopholes and advantages, it's the backbone of Formula 1. At least in F1 when a team does find a loophole the governing body meets to discuss the spirit of the rule. So when a team like Ferrari figures out the rules don't specifically prohibit burning oil to add to the fuel mixture and lose weight at the end of the race, they will review it and see if it goes against what they had in mind when they wrote the rule. They don't wait until the next lockout.

Although after this season, I have no faith the league would be able to administer that equally.

Best comment I saw last night: "I don't like this version of the Lorax. He's mean."

FWIW, it was called charging in game.

You can take Bennett out of Calgary, but you can't take the Calgary out of Bennett. It was a retaliatory hit as earlier Coleman got Barkov with a good smack, but that's a hit you just can't make.

Not sure why but for some reason I really thought this would be the year Florida put it all together in the playoffs. Guess not.

Tampa scored 5 in the second to go up 5-3. Florida puts Bob back in and now we got bonus hockey by the bay.
