I have to watch the game again but Boston sure looked mortal tonight. They just seemed 'slow'.

They can't fng say that they din't have the scoring chances.

Don't help when you give up break outs on D … repeatedly … leading to two of Queef's goals. One of them a fng shorty. :mad2:

I believe Marner has the highest ceiling of any Leaf on the roster. That's a pretty bold statement but when I was choosing a new jersey this Xmas it was Marner that I went with. I live in London and watched Marner here with the Knights, when he develops into an adult male he is going to be unreal.

God damn I'll take a few more like that.

The weird thing is Boston played really well in the second period and wound up losing the game by the end of it. That was such a Leaf move for so long.

If JT keeps up even close to this, I love the Leafs' chances:

I usually only get up off my seat for nice goal moves and big saves but I definitely put on my Don Cherry Marvel Comics jacket and screamed at the TV for this battle:

Fourth line had a perfect game by their standards.

The Kadri to Nylander pass was classic Leafs. Low percentage, high value. Watching it live, I said "holy crap, he passed it through 4 Bruins". They have the skills to pull it off, but it seems to be their primary offensive weapon. When the stretch pass doesn't work, they can look terrible because they are not great defensively. This rope-a-dope strategy drives me crazy. But love it when it works.

They use it so much exactly because it does work very well for them. It kills me that Hughson and Simpson lose their minds and never shut up about it every time one misses the mark, like an icing call is the most dangerous thing in the world. Also, do you know the faceoff numbers? They'll be sure to tell you all about those too

How many times does something amazing happen off of a face off? 1 in 200 draws?

It's such a low-event game function. They showed shot attempts on the screen at least a few times and I don't think I heard anyone mention it vocally once.
