Series Thread: First Round: Boston Bruins vs. Toronto Maple Leafs

That's it for Canadian teams. Leafs implode again.

The NBCSN guys were just dumping all over Kadri, even assigning a fair share of the elimination to him.

So the Leafs will likely have to move Kadri, Gardiner and maybe even Nylander due to cap reasons.
Kadri is an excellent two way C that any team could use.
Gards is a mobile puck mover that is great on a second or third pair with the right partner.
Nylander is a future point a game type player.
The Leafs will get almost sweet dick all in return for the three of them. They all are at their lowest value right now.

I know Willie is a decent player but his hold out was the perfect time to deal him for defensive help. Especially with the emergence of Johnsson and Kapanen.

I think they were better than the B's in the second period tonight but Rask was solid. I think you are right about the other 5 periods the last couple games though. I guess the one thing the Leafs can say is that they competed better than the Flames, Jets and Lightning though when facing elimination. It ain't much but it's something.

Probably going to be the best first round series of them all.

I agree with the 2nd part. I have Boston in 7.
