There's some kind of 80 minute rule before warmups for the next game can start for the ice to cure up. Maybe sixty between end of one game to warmups for next. Not sure.

they said yesterday they can get it down to 75 minutes between games if they prohibit the cleaners (who are paid $12 an hour (cdn)) disinfecting the dressing rooms and benches from taking water breaks. An idea first brought to the table by canucks owner Francesco Aquilini

I joked yesterday that they should have played in Columbus because we have Nationwide and NHL maintained rink attached to Nationwide. And two D1 Big 10 sheets across town.

But, uhhh... Toronto surely has plenty of suitable ice as well? Leafs practice rink? Marlies rink?

What's more is they had already bubbled off the practice rink and I think Ricoh too (as well as BMO Field for the guys to do some PE stuff on). Throwing in Copps or Hershey Centre or GM Centre etc. wouldn't have been that much of a pain save the bus ride over.

Oh, and the ice conditions probably wouldn't be moon surface-quality.
