I have more major titles by a wide margin... so I pick my team to win 9-6...

Your guys did win 5-6 more, I nearly voted your way. I did some research, and the stimpmeter settings in the 30's and 40's were so much lower than today, it was almost a different game. There was also less international competition in all majors, and I think that contributed to some older players winning more majors. This game is much harder to compare Apple's to Apple's than baseball IMO, I could make an argument either way in our matchup

I agree, just playing... I knew i would lose when i had 4+ old guys... But here is the thing, the golf courses back then were also in much worse condition and the rules were even crazier back then... But it really is impossible to know anything... this is golf... we measure who is best how???

:agree:100%. You could argue the technology of today makes up for the length and speed of greens. The game is so different, who knows?

I think it's hard to judge guys like Jack and Arnie against today's players.

The Morris' and their other pre-electricity buddies.... Pffffft who knows.

Young Tom was cut down in his prime though. We'd never know anyway.
