Damn is it tough going this year
I can't remember a year like this with so many excellent teams in one conference off to such hot starts

Yeah the West is crazy - there might be a really good team left out of the playoffs when all is set and done

Could be as many as 5 teams from the Pacific Division. Right now the Kings sit 1 spot out of the playoffs in that 5th position in the Pacific but they're only 2 points behind Vancouver, Minnesota and St Louis with games in hand over Vancouver (3) and Minnesota (1). St Louis actually has a game in hand over the Kings. A little early to worry about this stuff though. We'll see how things look come Winter Classic time.

If you took the points that the Kings have and put them in the east, they would be ahead of all but 3 teams.
