I think he's pretty good though. If I remember right, Samardjza is the guy everyone wanted to trade for last year. Hopefully Revere stays hot after a 3 hit day yesterday

I'm okay with him batting 8th as long as he is out there more often.

I hate today's lineup. JRol just got off of a plane. Nieves (5/24 in ST) is in for Ruiz. Too bad Rupp is down for more seasoning. Hopefully, the runs will keep coming.

i'm curious to see what the offense does against a solid righty. going to be very disappointing if they only produce a handful of hits and/or 0-1 runs.

Well they weren't a complete disappointment, but I guess 2 would qualify as somewhere just below "meh".

The older lefties did mix in a few hits though.

No, I was just going by Phillies' expectations. They scored more than 0-1, but 2 is not really that impressive even against a good pitcher.

They scored in the first, which is nice. Problem they had last year was that they would come out from the start with bad swings and the next thing you knew it was the sixth inning.
