NOW! we need stability on the back end......Hit him up.... I know some wont agree with this...But I think we should do it...use him as a coach and part time player in the secondary...
No. Let the young guys grow and learn. They will never get better if they for get to play.
The Safeties aren't why we lost yesterday. Marshall burnt Hall 3-4 times. He beat Burfict a couple. The TE beat the LB on his TD. The Safeties weren't the problem yesterday.
The Safeties were not the problem and anyone sayin they were just wants to hate on them.
The pass rush was miserable. Wide open passing lanes. Marshall is going to beat any corner when he has time to run his pattern and Cutler has time and room to make his throw. Isn't the book on Cutler that you need to get pressure in his face to make him make mistakes?

More good stuff, on Cutler:
When the Bengals blitzed:9-11, 81.8%, 98 yards, 1td, 0int, 134.1 passer rating
When they only rushed the front four:12-22, only 54.5%, 144 yds, 1 td, o int, only a 71.4 passer rating.
Conclusion: We should not have blitzed him, at all.......
No it's fact the safeties aren't the reason we lost yesterday.
That's probably because the blitz never got to him. No pressure + fewer people in the secondary = better stats.
I wouldn't say they shouldn't have blitzed, but maybe designed better packages. But then again, with 2 rookies on the line, a new head coach, a brand new offense, I can't imagine it was easy to game plan a defensive plan.
Here are the Bengals defensive grades by position category
1)Dlinemen: +5.9
2)Linebackers : +0.1
3)Corners : +0.7
4)Safeties : -1.8
The safeties did have the worst overall grade, though their grade includes Mays' 13 plays at nickel LB, and his grade was -.8 though he was -1.0 in only 1 play in run defense. What stands out to me is that even with a couple of guys having an off day that the line was still the strength of the defense.
