Right now, ESPN has them #1 in recruiting

2012 - 9th
2011 - 9th
2010 - 21st
2009 - 14th

The past few years, they have been top 10 in recruiting, They still get most of the big name recruits they go after.

Notre Dame does generally recruit well and get some high end talent, but that was for the most part simply because of the Notre Dame brand. Now if they are legit contenders they may be landing 4 or 5, 5 Star recruits as opposed to 1 or 2. You get 2 or 3 straight years of that and all of a sudden you have what Alabama had this year, which is a junior NFL team.

I disagree. ND's biggest asset was their D line and linebackers. Alabama has 3 first round picks on the O-Line so they were able to completely negate that. The other top 10 teams do not have Alabama's O-Line and therefore would not neccessarily have the same results.

2nd best o-line in country--A&M has 2 1st rounders on their o-line. I think UGA would of beat ND too.
