Almost makes me want to go back and watch that poor man's "Hard Knocks" documentary on the Browns from last season. Almost.

Seems similar to what went down with DeBartelo. The NFL didn't rush to judgment or to distance themselves, they waited to see how serious the charges were and how strong of a case the feds were putting together. But when it became pretty clear that DeBartelo was going down they jumped into action, and eventually forced the transfer of ownership to his sister.

I still think he'll have to eventually sell the team. If the Feds have any evidence that suggests he used money from the fraud scheme to buy the Browns they can seize that asset, right? The NFL definitely doesn't want that happening so they'd probably force him to sell.
